WUNSCHUNTERKUNFT

The Romantic Rhine stretches from Bingen and Rüdesheim in the south to Remagen and Unkel in the north.

St. Goar

St. Goar is named after Saint Goar of Aquitaine who built a chapel on the site of the present collegiate church. Rheinfels Castle towers high above the town and is the largest ruined castle on the Rhine. St. Goar’s special appeal as a destination not to be missed is due to its spectacular location at the heart of the “Upper Middle Rhine Valley” UNESCO World Heritage Site.
